| The book Luton – A second selection has a photograph of Vauxhall Road during the mid – 1950s. ‘This narrow road joined Kimpton Road and Gipsy Lane, and ran through part of the Vauxhall factory. It also passed beneath the two railway lines through narrow bottleneck bridges. It was closed to public traffic during the 1980s.
